Adoption Agreement Overview

At DreamiiDolls, every kitten is placed under a formal, legally binding adoption agreement.
This agreement is thoughtfully designed to protect three equally important parties:
the kitten, the buyer, and the breeder.
While we believe in transparency, the full legal adoption agreement is shared privately after a specific kitten has been confirmed and reserved with a deposit, in order to ensure clarity, accuracy, and proper context for both parties.

1. Purpose of the Agreement
Our adoption agreement establishes clear expectations regarding:

• the purchase of a purebred Ragdoll kitten as a companion pet,

• financial commitments and timelines,

• health assurances and their scope,

• long-term welfare and ethical ownership,

• and the responsibilities of both parties before and after pickup.

The agreement is structured to ensure responsible placement and lifelong wellbeing for every DreamiiDolls kitten.

2. Purchase Type & Registration
All kittens are placed strictly as pets.

• Kittens are spayed or neutered prior to leaving the cattery.

• Registration papers are provided following delivery.

• Breeding rights are not included unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.

3. Deposit & Payment Principles

• A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a specific kitten.

• The deposit confirms the buyer’s commitment and temporarily removes the kitten from availability.

• The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to the kitten leaving the breeder’s care.

• Failure to complete payment within the agreed timeframe may result in the reservation being voided.

If a kitten becomes seriously ill or is lost due to unforeseen circumstances before leaving the breeder, the deposit is fully refunded.

4. Initial Veterinary Examination
Buyers are required to arrange a veterinary examination shortly after pickup or delivery.
This initial examination is intended solely to identify any serious, pre-existing contagious illnesses that could not reasonably be caused by environmental factors after transfer.

• Only confirmed, laboratory-supported diagnoses of severe contagious disease fall within the scope of the breeder’s initial health assurance.

• Mild, stress-related, transitional, or self-limiting conditions commonly associated with relocation are expressly excluded.

No refunds are issued under any circumstances.
When applicable, remedies are limited to breeder-directed solutions such as temporary return for care or a future replacement.

5. Health Guarantee Scope
DreamiiDolls provides a five-year health guarantee limited exclusively to fatal congenital or hereditary genetic defects.
Key principles include:

• Coverage applies only to conditions conclusively proven to be genetic in origin.

• Confirmation must be supported by appropriate specialist documentation.

• Non-genetic, developmental, acquired, environmental, or stress-related conditions are not covered.

• The breeder’s total liability is strictly limited to either a replacement kitten or a refund of the original purchase price, at the breeder’s discretion.

Veterinary expenses, diagnostics, and related costs are not covered.

6. Genetic Testing & Breed-Specific Conditions
Both parents of every DreamiiDolls kitten undergo comprehensive DNA testing for all currently known Ragdoll-associated genetic mutations.

• Clear × Clear pairings are used to minimize hereditary risk.

• Certain conditions, including heart disease, may arise from non-genetic or multifactorial causes and are not automatically considered congenital.

• Only conclusions made by qualified specialists are recognized for warranty consideration.

7. Buyer Responsibility After Pickup
Once the kitten leaves the breeder’s care:

• All routine veterinary care, medical decisions, and related costs become the buyer’s responsibility.

• The breeder does not assume liability for illnesses, infections, or conditions arising after transfer.

• The kitten must be monitored carefully during the initial adjustment period and isolated from other pets as advised.

8. Living Conditions & Ethical Care
Buyers agree to provide:

• a strictly indoor living environment,

• proper nutrition, clean water, and sanitary conditions,

• routine veterinary care and vaccinations,

• appropriate grooming and environmental enrichment.

Declawing is strictly prohibited and permanently voids all health guarantees.
Failure to provide humane and responsible care may constitute a breach of agreement.

9. Rehoming & Lifetime Commitment
If a buyer is ever unable to keep their cat:

• the breeder must be notified before any rehoming attempt,

• the cat must be returned to the breeder or rehomed only with the breeder’s written approval,

• no refunds or compensation apply.

This policy ensures that no DreamiiDolls kitten ever enters a shelter, rescue, or unauthorized placement.

10. Communication & Dispute Resolution
Buyers agree to:

• communicate directly with the breeder regarding any concerns,

• make a good-faith effort to resolve issues privately before involving third parties,

• refrain from publishing knowingly false or misleading statements.

The agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, with jurisdiction in Simcoe County.
